Here it is, 2pm and I don’t feel like I’ve accomplished anything today but the morning dishes.
I felt pretty good this morning and I had good expectations for the day but it’s all just gone wrong. No writing or revising has occurred. That’s part of my problem.
We went shopping this morning, but couldn’t spend more than the cash in our pocket. Hackers have gotten into the database of our local grocery store so we’re getting new credit cards. They won’t be here until tomorrow or so.
I spent an hour on the phone with the developer for a new web site for the Northern Gila County Fair. (We don’t have a web site and so, we’re working out all the nitpicky little details that goes into putting up a decent looking site.)
While I was on the phone I was getting numerous calls (call waiting) from my daughter. I finally had my husband call her back on my cell phone, as I was on the house phone with the developer. She’d had an accident and was calling for help. She and the other driver are OK, they were in a convenience store parking lot. But still, stressful.
I have the Bunco group on Thursday, so there’s the stress of making sure the house is cleaned up and food prepared for the 11 other women coming. Needless to say, I’m not the best housekeeper and the whole cleaning up thing wears me out.
Mom is visiting and only going to be staying with us till the end of March and I’d like to get out and about to see some things before she goes. I’d hate for her to go back to New York and tell everybody she spent her visit playing Bejeweled Blitz on our computer.
It wasn’t until 2pm that I remembered today is Monday and I needed to put up a blog post! I’d blame it all on the time change but I live in Arizona and we don’t go to Daylight Savings Time. So, I’ll try to pull myself together and for the next hour, work on revising my November NaNo novel. That should help me feel better.
How’s your day going?
